Did anybody else hear that ladies account of how her elderly father (who had lymphoma and was in a wheelchair) was bullied by the Revenue for €3,500? They aggressively reposessed items such as his wifes mobile phone, the present they had bought for their grandaughters birthday the next day and almost the fridge (after checking to see how much food was in it). This gentleman already had spoken to the Revenue about his inability to pay back a lump sum and a payment plan was put in place. He repaid €2,500 of his debt on time. So this guerilla attack from a van full of men hiding behind the title of Revenue Sheriff, came about because he still owed €1,000 and Revenue said that they had "waited long enough". The man consequently suffered a stress-induced heart attack and died. I think this is an abomination, especially with stories of suicides around the country being provoked by the Revenues bullying tactics. What does everybody else think?
